Strike Helps with Oklahoma Tornado Disaster Relief

After the May 20th tornado hit Moore, Oklahoma, Strike's community advocacy initiative program, Campaign for Change, arranged a team, collected supplies and set out to help the victims of the storm. A total of 25 Strike volunteers traveled to Oklahoma in 4 day shifts to join Strike's Cook Team to prepare and distribute hot meals and cold drinks to citizens, volunteers, military and law enforcement. The cook team and volunteers prepared breakfast, lunch and dinner for two consecutive weeks. Many of these residents were without electricity, gas and transportation, so the Strike team delivered hot meals and cold drinks to those working to rebuild their lives.

The Campaign for Change initiative for Oklahoma distributed 2,960 hot meals, handed out 1,000 cards of encouragement with a message of hope, contributed a total of $20,000 in gift cards and cash donations, and provided toys for children.

Strike was honored to lend a helping hand to our neighbors in Oklahoma and will continue to keep them in our thoughts and prayers while their city is rebuilt.
